The features of FhCMB's transient gene expression system lend themselves to a very exciting new technology for vaccine production. Plants can be reprogrammed to cause the production of copious quantities of nano-particles, each with immunity-stimulating signals (epitopes) on their surfaces. These nano-particles make potent, safe vaccines, and their production is rapid and inexpensive.
